UPDATE ON CONNECTED TRANSACTION IN
RELATION TO EXERCISE OF OPTION BY A
CONNECTED PERSON
MACAU, April 25, 2013 Melco Crown Entertainment Limited (SEHK: 6883) (Nasdaq: MPEL) (Melco Crown Entertainment or the Company), a developer and owner of casino gaming and entertainment resort facilities in Asia, refers to its announcement dated September 25, 2012 (the Previous Announcement) in relation to the granting of option to a connected person and the entering into an amendment to the Shareholders Agreement in connection with the Studio City Project. Unless otherwise stated or defined in this announcement, terms used herein shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Previous Announcement.
The Company announces that SCI has received a notice dated April 19, 2013 from New Cotai regarding the exercise of the New Cotai Equity Option. It is expected that upon the closing of the exercise of the New Cotai Equity Option, MCE Cotais interest in SCI will remain at 60%, the same shareholding percentage as at the date of the original Shareholders Agreement dated July 27, 2011.
